Also, we should consider everyone will find they prefer different methods to lose weight.

Our Review – Our Experience
Personally, I have tried to lose weight in many different ways. In my life I have lived a healthy lifestyle so far and I am not vastly overweight. However, there are areas of fat I would like to trim down and firm up, of course, these are the areas of fat that are the hardest to shift.
We found the content of the manuals easy to read and understand. This is a great benefit and makes the program accessible to a wide range of people. You don’t need a college degree to understand the science or follow the program.
The diet uses a combination of techniques but two key methods of the diet are carbohydrate restriction and intermittent fasting.
Carbohydrates are found in food like bread, rice, pasta, potatoes and in smaller amounts in vegetables. Carbohydrates are a source of energy and calories that fuel the body.
However, they also contribute to your body setting up fat stores. When you restrict the carbohydrates you can prevent the body from building those fat stores and burn off the fat stores you have.
More long term research is needed to establish the effects of a low carbohydrate diet on the body when dieting over a long period of time. This is why most recommendations for this kind of diet are for short periods.
Intermittent fasting is when a person fasts for some of the time and eats normally for some of the time. For example they might fast for two days in the seven day week.
The time frame varies according to the person and diet or other reason they may have for fasting. Depending on the diet you may fast between set hours in the day, or you may fast a full 24 hours. Sometimes you may drink water or sometimes not. Again, the exact format depends on the diet.
As with anything in life, there are always going to be people who are skeptical or who will decry certain methods. A lot of people who will be negative will be those people who stand to lose if everyone follows said weight loss method. Personally, I think you have to take a balanced view.
The 3 week diet is not reccomended for people with health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems or if you are extremely overweight.
Or at least, if you have those problems and you want to try the 3 week diet you should make sure you consult and are monitored by your doctor regularly while you undertake the diet.
This is not the best diet for people with mental health problems or a history of eating disorders. There is not enough research on the effects of the diet on people with these kinds of problems.
This is not necessarily a diet you should follow 365 days of the year. It’s definitely called the “3 week diet” for a reason.
You can keep to the principles in the times between completing the 3 week diet but you also need to rest between those intervals. Keep your body guessing.
Let’s not think we can do this diet for 3-weeks lose loads of weight, and then afterwards slip straight back into old habits for the next month putting all the weight back on.
Rather let’s think of this diet as a tool to see some fast results, get on track and to be followed up by a generally healthier lifestyle over the following months and years.
For the majority of people of average health, people who are a little bit, a medium, or a high amount overweight (not extremely) then this diet can give you the key to lose weight quickly and in large amounts.
The first week was not the hardest week for us. We were carried along with the enthusiasm and motivation that comes with starting a new diet. I was able to do all the exercises with a bit of cheerleading from my husband (for me personally this was the hardest bit).
