The 3 Week Diet Plan: A Comprehensive Guide
Our health affects everything we do.
When we look good and feel healthy we are positioned to have a better, more productive life.
Losing weight can be a bit like pushing boulders uphill.
Even those people who don’t normally diet will have places on their body where there is stubborn fat.
Shifting that fat is hard work and difficult to achieve.
Finding a way to achieve your weight loss goals quickly can also be a problem.
There are so many different diets and it can be overwhelming to know which one to try.
Then again most diets recommend very slow (demoralizing) weight loss.
This is where the “3 Week Diet” looks and sounds different.
The diet claims it can help you to shift even the most difficult “hard to reach” fat easily and quickly.
This month we have been trying out the “3 Week Diet” and we can’t wait to share all the details with you all.
If you have been trying to lose weight for a long time then the “3 Week Diet” may be a great way to achieve your weight loss goals quickly.
What is the 3 Week Diet?
The “3 week diet” is a special diet plan, which aims to help people lose a large amount of weight quickly.
People usually lose from 12 – 23 pounds of body fat over the 3-weeks of the diet.
That is quite something. If you have tried to lose weight before then you will know this kind of weight loss is no ordinary feat.
There are four manuals provided with the program and they are all included in the price.
Each works on a specific aspect of the regime that is required in order achieve the proposed results.
The first manual introduces the 3 week diet and discusses the science behind the diet along with providing information about nutrition and other background information you need to get started.
Most importantly it helps you properly calculate your measurements and body fat levels which effectively lays the groundwork for your diet plan.
The second manual provides all the details of the diet.
This manual gives directions specially tailored to your body type.
The manual teaches you to calculate your body fat first.
Once you have done that you follow the plan that fits your body type.
I am no mathematician and I found the directions easy to follow.
The third manual is a workout program which is really easy to follow with just a little bit of discipline and determination.
This program will help you to increase the effects of the diet.
There are only 20 minutes of exercise to do for 3-4 days a week.
Most people, with a little bit of discipline and enthusiasm should be able to carry out the routine regularly with no problems.
The fourth manual is to help you get your mindset in the right place.
As with almost anything, when you start something new there will be challenges you have to face that can be hard.
In hard times our own mind can be our worst enemy.
This manual will help keep you driven and determined.
Sometimes the mental aspect is the most important when it comes to dieting.
The fourth manual is critical and is full of tips and guidance to help you to stay motivated and focused on your weight loss goal.
Here’s an extract from the first page of the manual:
Who’s behind the diet – Is Brian Flatt legit?
The man behind the diet is Brian Flatt. He has been involved in the diet and fitness industry since 1999.
He is a certified personal trainer and a certified sports nutritionist. He began his work in Southern California as a personal trainer, weight loss coach and nutritionist.
As he built a name for himself he opened a personal training facility R.E.V. Fitness – apparently he still runs this.
During the time he was working with his clients he developed the program that is now known as the “3 Week Diet”.
His aim was to help people achieve their weight loss goals quickly and effectively.
Does the 3 week diet really work?
Many of you might be thinking well that is all very well but does the diet really work?
In short, yes it does.
Well, we are happy to say we have just completed the three weeks and we have lost a very respectable 15 pounds.
At this point we should say any diet you undertake, you must follow the directions properly or you may not see the results you would like.
Also, this diet does require some commitment, willpower, and organization – following the diet correctly etc.
Also, we should consider everyone will find they prefer different methods to lose weight.
Not everyone will suit the intensive and committed approach you need to take with this diet.
For this reason, our rating is not the full 5 stars.
However, having said that, the diet does not ask you to sustain your commitment over a long period of time.
Not even a month of commitment is required. This makes the diet extremely accessible and achievable for most people.
Personally, we like a program to throw ourselves into and see fast results, rather than trundle along for years seeing very little difference despite all efforts (as most diets go).
This is why the diet worked well for us.
In general, after taking a quick look around the web and you can find an overwhelming amount of reviews on the product.
Here is a quote from someone who also tried the diet:
You don’t know me but my name is Elisa and I bought The 3 Week Diet one month ago. I want to share my weight loss story with you, Brian.
Since having my first child, I’ve been carrying around an extra 30 pounds.
I’ve tried many diets and couldn’t make anything work.
Your diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The 3 Week Diet plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow.
I did everything you said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I’m now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds.
You have changed my life, and I am incredibly thankful.
Elisa is just one example of many.
We were also able to find over 200 verified positive reviews on Trustpilot one of the worlds largest third party reviews websites.
Our Review – Our Experience
Personally, I have tried to lose weight in many different ways.
In my life I have lived a healthy lifestyle so far and I am not vastly overweight.
However, there are areas of fat I would like to trim down and firm up, of course, these are the areas of fat that are the hardest to shift.
We found the content of the manuals easy to read and understand.
This is a great benefit and makes the program accessible to a wide range of people.
You don’t need a college degree to understand the science or follow the program.
The diet uses a combination of techniques but two key methods of the diet are carbohydrate restriction and intermittent fasting.
Carbohydrates are found in food like bread, rice, pasta, potatoes and in smaller amounts in vegetables.
Carbohydrates are a source of energy and calories that fuel the body.
However, they also contribute to your body setting up fat stores.
When you restrict the carbohydrates you can prevent the body from building those fat stores and burn off the fat stores you have.
More long term research is needed to establish the effects of a low carbohydrate diet on the body when dieting over a long period of time.
This is why most recommendations for this kind of diet are for short periods.
Intermittent fasting is when a person fasts for some of the time and eats normally for some of the time.
For example they might fast for two days in the seven day week.
The time frame varies according to the person and diet or other reason they may have for fasting.
Depending on the diet you may fast between set hours in the day, or you may fast a full 24 hours.
Sometimes you may drink water or sometimes not.
Again, the exact format depends on the diet.
As with anything in life, there are always going to be people who are skeptical or who will decry certain methods.
A lot of people who will be negative will be those people who stand to lose if everyone follows said weight loss method.
The “3 Week Diet” is backed up with up-to-date modern scientific research, so don’t let others negativity put you off.
People will also be very quick to tell you that intermittent fasting is not a “healthy” way to lose weight.
However, people all over the world live on 2 meals a day and if you compare their weight and fitness against the average American I have no doubt who will come out on top.
There are also many cultures and religions who fast regularly as a part of daily life, and they don’t show negative effects despite having followed those practices for hundreds and thousands of years.
In fact, I have seen reporting on fasting and how scientists are only now beginning to understand that fasting can improve health and longevity.
Personally, I think you have to take a balanced view.
The 3 week diet is not reccomended for people with health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems or if you are extremely overweight.
Or at least, if you have those problems and you want to try the 3 week diet you should make sure you consult and are monitored by your doctor regularly while you undertake the diet.
This is not the best diet for people with mental health problems or a history of eating disorders.
There is not enough research on the effects of the diet on people with these kinds of problems.
This is not necessarily a diet you should follow 365 days of the year. It’s definitely called the “3 week diet” for a reason.
You can keep to the principles in the times between completing the 3 week diet but you also need to rest between those intervals. Keep your body guessing.
Let’s not think we can do this diet for 3-weeks lose loads of weight, and then afterwards slip straight back into old habits for the next month putting all the weight back on.
Rather let’s think of this diet as a tool to see some fast results, get on track and to be followed up by a generally healthier lifestyle over the following months and years.
For the majority of people of average health, people who are a little bit, a medium, or a high amount overweight (not extremely) then this diet can give you the key to lose weight quickly and in large amounts.
The first week was not the hardest week for us.
We were carried along with the enthusiasm and motivation that comes with starting a new diet.
I was able to do all the exercises with a bit of cheerleading from my husband (for me personally this was the hardest bit).
Initially it took a little bit of manual reading and organizing of my kitchen and habits to prepare for the diet.
In reality it didn’t take me long to get into the rhythm of the diet.
This was the hardest week. I felt tired some of the time and I needed to make more of an effort to get the exercises done.
I used the fourth manual to help me stay focused and motivated and before I knew it the week was behind me.
This was the best week.
I was excited because the goal was in sight and because I could feel and see the weight falling off.
Then before I knew it the 3-weeks were over and my new trimmer body could be seen in my mirror.
Results – before and after
I am a petite size (5″ 2) and I began the diet at 133 pounds and finished the diet at 118 pounds.
I was very pleased with this result and my figure has returned to the size I was at high school, in the days before I had children.
Other benefits I have enjoyed as a result of the diet have been better skin, more energy (after the slump at week two), more confidence, and renewed determination.
I discovered I have more willpower than I thought, and the best thing?
I learned I can take control of my body and my mind to achieve my goals.
Our Rating: 4.4 stars
We have given the “3 Week Diet” 4.4 stars. Overall the diet is very successful at helping people lose large volumes of fat quickly.
The only reason we decided not to give the diet a full 5 stars is because the program does take some determination and commitment to follow.
Really, though don’t you deserve to be determined about something?
By completing the diet, (which is really very achievable for most people) you will lose weight and gain some confidence in your ability to discipline yourself and take control of your body.
In conclusion, the diet is definitely a positive step to begin the year with, if you are keen to see some serious weight loss.
I think the cost of the diet is very reasonable given the mine of information and assistance the four manuals give you.
Certainly, the low cost makes the program very worthwhile, at least to give it a try.
There’s a full money back guarantee, so you can feel safe trying it out without any risks.
There’s really nothing to lose (except hopefully a few extra pounds). Here’s a snippet from the sales page:
You can purchase the the program along with the full discount and money-back guarantee by following the link below.
Maybe you will find the methods don’t work for you, but you can at least do the three weeks once, lose weight.
Then once you have got the head start, go back to other methods to maintain your new weight.
Other people (like me) might find they have found a new way of life and to this end, I say good news.
The “3 week diet” can be done multiple times each year.
You can also follow a looser more relaxed form of the diet in between the times you carry it out.
Don’t run too many together though, this diet is not for 365 days of the year.
Let’s all remember to maintain a balanced approach and don’t let negativity hold you back.
